If you read the side of the tire they are rated to 50 lol I have the same ones I roll at 45 most of the time I don't change the pressure at all for the mud. I don't go rockin I just have a little jeep

I'd say 15 PSI at the VERY VERY lowest, 20psi is fine.
The tires in the picture I saw were not street tires, they were all-terrains. If I'm not mistaken, I think I read they were 32 15 rvt wild tracs. So being a 32" tire they have the 2 to 1 tire height to wheel height ratio, so 12 lbs with a 4000 lb rig isn't going to be any problem.

It depends on the load rating of the tire.

TSL's have a very heavy bias carcass, 8-10 PSI is good on the trail, 20-30 PSI on the road depending on your preference. more pressure, less rolling resitance, but they get really hard above 25 PSI on a lightweight rig.

I ran 8 PSI in my 34" LTB's regularly on stock wheels

I use Smittybuilt deflators, really sweet little things! I highly recommend them. The Ebay link on page one is for the same thing, but much better priced.

woo guys ok i wasn't trying to start an arguement i am a weekend guy that is new to all of this read my post in xj teenager owners and see how new to this i am but i love my jeep and i am learning as i go along and i have learned ALOT. this is my daily driver i bought the jeep with these tires and these tires SUCK! i hate them to the max but i have been wanting so bad to take my jeep out that i am getting my winch and winch bumper first bc i already have tires that still have tread. i have taken them in a some mud about 6 inches on some old refuge road in Wisconsin and they handled fine at 48 psi thats what i run them at bc 50 the center kinda pushes out. they are street tires and even suck on the street. i was just asking bc there wasnt anything that i have read before and just wanted to know and like i said before i am going to be saving up for some BFG km2's

I'd run them at 32-35 psi.. 48psi is insanely over inflated imo.

Yeah check the tires sidewall it should give you a figure of where to air it up to.

I usually do:
10psi for rocks
15-17 for mud/trails
10-12 for sand

It makes no difference if he has MTs or ATs or street tires or mini van tires, if the tire has the two to one tire height to wheel height you can air them down. Would I air down and do serious rock crawling with B load rated tires? No! Would I do easy to moderate trails aired down with B load rated tires? You bet, I've done it many times over the years and never had a problem and if those are a C load rated tire they'll work just fine in sand and rock, not so much in mud.

For what its worth , I air down to 15psi for offroading. I have 33x12.5 Goodyear Kevlars. I run them at 28psi on the street.

He meant 48psi is overinflated, period. Not for offroading, for road driving, and I agree.

^^This is the issue I used to have. I always used to figure that running your tires at the highest possible pressure would equal the best fuel economy/tread wear, etc. On tires like the ones you have, considering they are much larger than stock, they were probably meant for a much heavier vehicle than our modest Cherokees. With a heavier vehicle (ie one that would come stock with 32s), more pressure is required to get the proper tire "shape" against the road and desired fuel economy/tread wear. For this reason, your tires are overinflated, given this circumstance.
