Looking to install an aftermarket remote start/keyless entry system in my 2000 XJ. Right now I have an issue where the OEM keyfob will lock but not unlock the doors (dome light comes on but no actuators fire) - it seems like the signal goes through but won't work.

Power locks on the doors work, and keyfob will LOCK the doors, just not unlock.

Instead of messing with replacing keyfob receiver (passenger door module) I thought maybe if I installed an aftermarket remote start/keyless entry system everything would work fine.

If anyone has any similar experience or knowledge in this I appreciate it!
