Ok so I have a 89 cherokee with a 4.0 6cyl with ac. I'm looking to remove the ac system cuz it dosnt work and I'd like to put a shorter belt on. I don't wanna put one of those pulleys on. Has anyone done this and know where to find the belt or have a number? I tryed looking online but only found stuff for the 4 cyl with no ac. Also anyone know how to reroute it? I will be doing a radiator and upper hose while doing this and take all the ac parts out line and all thanks.

 

Why don't you want to use the pulley?

You can't just eliminate the AC Pulley. There would be no way to reroute the belt...

You can buy the A/C delete bracket & idler.

 

That's what ill do but I thought I read I can put a shorter belt on to add a few extra ponys while driving Down the road.
