So on my 98 XJ 4.0 when the jeep is cold it runs ok,but as soon as it warms up the rmps go up and down while idling. Then when I start to accelerate, the engine sputters. and then backfires. I can't get any acceleration unless I stomp th gas then it will go for a few seconds and then continue sputtering. Any ideas what could be the issue?
