I purchased my first Cherokee Sport in '94, and my second in '99, over 200K and still going strong!

Can somebody explain why....

My front seats have never been able to fold down forward, they only slide forward or the the seat adjusts to sitting up straight.
Is that how they were designed?

And curious why my windshield wipers won't fold back?
It would be helpful when cleaning windshield or in snow conditions when you don't won't wipers to freeze to windshield, and for scraping off ice.

Has anyone tried to modify?

The seats only fold forward if they're in (or were in) a 2 door XJ.

You could get some and swap them (or possibly just the brackets) if you felt like it.

On the wipers, I'm not sure. I wish they did fold back.
