I want to do this, only I want to cut mine off in front of the rear doors... near perfect weight balance on the trailer and would still have enough room for me to stretch out and go night night. I have also thought about using an MJ bed (with a custom built trailer frame under it) with a topper.

 

This what your talking about. I'm keeping the front passenger compartment for cargo and such.

 

Here's the patient, was whole but I swapped the front clip to my MJ. Most of the serious disassembly is done, engine compartment engine , trans pulled out.

Back on topic... clear engine bay and sealed firewall. dash completely removed and ready for a fabbed filler panel to make it nice and clean.

 

 

I have blocks under the unirails so it looks like its the same height as my rig, but its actually about 3 1/2 inches lower. Looking for a set of Dodge ram leafs to make a bastard pack for my rig and blocks to lift the cherocamper to sit even with my rig. this is a crappy pic. Just realized my rig looks Alost stock the way its sitting in the unlevel parking spot. But it does have saggy rear springs

 

With the exception of a few parts, everything I'm removing is for sale and I'll ship almost anywhere if its reasonable. Already sold quite a few things but there's still lots more.
