So i bought a 96', i'm 17 and don't know a great deal about cars. My exhaust is rattling against the bar that runs under drivers side and passenger side under car, also holds my tranny up. There was a bracket doo hickie holding the exhaust away from it but it broke. I have no idea where to or how to mount something to stop this god awful rattling. i will upload a pic for you to better grasp the situation. The exhaust sucks to begin with so i eventaully intend to throw a new one on to get better horse. I have alot of problems with my cherokee.
1. My exhaust.
2. It's a 2.5 engine with 4x4 package. How to cheaply increase power?

* it's a 5 speed if that makes any difference.

well first off, you aren't going to get noticeable hp from an after market exhaust. And to fix the rattle, your best bet is to weld that bracket back together or weld up a new one.
