96 cherokee dome lights

Default 96 cherokee dome lights
I have a 1996 jeep grand cherokee laredo. The dome lights and foot lights will not go out . Also the diagram shows that my back doors are open when they are not. I have had to pull all bulbs..Any suggestions ?

un hook rear hatch electric to button/latch indicator.

I don't even know what that is..I am pretty Mechanically Inclined , would like to know where that is and what it looks like..My hatch so far has nothing to do with my domelights staying on

the wire at the hatch (inside the rear hatch) lock that feeds the dash diagram and that is also likely the cause for the lights staying on
