HI guys, new to forum and new to jeeps. Got a really good deal on a nice xj. Did my research and found out after the fact none of the seatbelts lock incase of a emergency stop. Does anyone know what years I can pull from junk yard to replace mine that will lock. I have a 3 year old and really don't want to play around with this situation. Looked online and prices are pretty steep. Still learning how to navigate this forum so wasn't able to find out how to search really. Any help would be great.

 

I have a 95 myself and had to replace one or two, I cannot recall what year I got them out of but there is definitely a difference between the XJ and the Grand Cherokees. Take a picture on your phone using a tape measure to show the dimensions. Take your phone and tape measure to the junkyard and compare.

 

Yeah junkyard will do.Make sure its from a xj and about the same year as yours.The seat belts bolt in and out but i think you need some of the torx bits not sure the sizes.

 

I think they are t40 or t45
