Default Motor swap

I have a 2000 cherokee 4door with the inlince 6 4.0. Now i wanna put a v8 in it. What kind of v8 motor is most compatible?

95+% of the time a V-8 swap isn't a good idea into an XJ if you plan on off roading it. If going to drag race it what ever will fit into it then mod it up to fit from radiator to differentials and all in between. If just want a little more power make it a stroker motor a 4.7.

You can stroke the stock 4.0 to get good enough power.The other thing is gearing vs tire size.People throw a set of 33s or 35s on the stock gearing and say their jeep it slow or a dog.
