'95 Laredo...good for highway?
What's up, gang.
I'm thinking of buying a '95 Grand Cherokee Laredo with 180,000 miles for about $2,000. I'll be driving it from Seattle to Philly and I'm wondering how these models handle on the highway and how comfortable they are.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Honestly i wouldn't make that long of a trip in any car i just bought,And really i would rent a car to keep the miles off mine or if i break down they just bring me a new rental and im back on the road.

In general it is best to either get (or rent) a relatively new vehicle (< 5 years old) that is unlikely to have any issues, or to be able to do a through inspection (and any preventative maintenance) and "shake down" (drive it regularly locally to flesh out any issues) on an older vehicle for a few months to find and correct any issues before taking it on a long trip like that.
