91 xj 2 door, tittle says 4 door? Secondary identification?
Bought what is supposed to be a '91 model.
Back hatch says 4.0HO but could've been swapped out?
Under description of body, the tittle just says "4D".
Has internal slave cylinder in the trans, I'm thinking the year may be correct.
Idk would just like to know for sure, for engine maintenence, renix vs. H.O.
Is there a visual difference?

Probably a typo on the title. Next step would be to run the VIN # and find out what it was from the factory. If it shows a 2 door, then take it to the DMV and get it straightened out. If it doesn't, you may have a battle on your hands to get it right, gonna depend on how much effort you want to put into it. Best I got.

91 was in fact the first year for the H.O. so that's proper.
easy identification, renix uses 3 bolts on the throttle body, H.O. uses 4.
renix has no rad cap, but a pressure tank passenger side near firewall.
91 and up has a rad cap, no pressure tank.
renix has temp sensor at rear of engine, H.O is at front of engine.
yes, 91 uses an internal slave so only thing i see in question would be the 4D versus 2D. it could have just been a typo when ownership was changed at some point. shouldn't be a problem getting it changed when you move or renew plate sticker.

Thanks fella's.
That clears it up, Definately going to be correct year.
I just wanted to make sure that the replacement parts I buy are for the correct era of jeep engines.

My Bronco is registered as a Station Wagon and so is my 1997 Cherokee and my daughters 1994 Cherokee, they all say station wagon in British Columbia Canada, no typo.

XJs are classified as station wagons everywhere I know of... Can save you some money at the scrapyard also... Car window glass is about $15 less than a truck around here and when you tell them "station wagon" they automatically go for the car pricing. Your mileage may vary.
