Default 87 renix 4.0 vacation time !!!!

Hello,
I am new to the forum and seeking some advice. I have a 87 renix fired wagoneer limited cherokee xj with 65000 that I bought off of an older gentleman who bought new. It runs like a top and I have went over it fairly well in the months I have had it. My wife and I are headed to the beach in NC for a week and she wants to take the old gal. Lots of room, etc, but she's 27 years old now (not my wife the jeep) It does run great !!!! What are some concerns I should watch for. Going 550 miles one way. The jeep was meticulously cared for since new and it's rust free so it had to be in a garage, etc. I have cleaned the throttle body and it runs real cool also Any advice out there Thanks

Do the tune up (ngk plugs gapped to .035, belden wires, distributor cap with brass terminals, oil change with quality oil filter, etc)

Do Cruiser54's mostly renix tips.

If real life is anything like a sitcom then I say take the trip!

If the Jeep breaks down, humorous situations will arise.

Try and stay in a remote cabin if you can, every time sitcom families do that, they get stranded there via a snow storm or something and hilarity ensues.

P.S. Don't forget to bring the wacky, wisecracking next door neighbor with you.

At a bare minimum, after doing the tune up as suggested, do Posts 1 through 5 in my Tips.

As far as oil and filter, make sure you use Wix or Napa Gold filters.

My personal opinion is that you should do none of these things before your trip. Make sure you're up to date on the most routine maintenance, check your engine oil level, transmission, brake fluid, coolant, and power steering fluid. Top up as necessary and go on your trip. I think it's a bad idea to start messing with stuff that's working fine right before you drive 550 miles from the safety of home. Save that stuff for when you get back.
