I can get one for free, but would it fit under my xj? Does anybody know the width, cuz they look pretty close. Are there any other differences than compared to the version, but other than the leaf perches and shock mounts? Thanks

not worth it. wrong perches, mounts, and 6 lug. i am unsure of the width and spline count, and im not even going to look it up because a 29 spline 8.25 that will bolt into your xj goes for $100-150 tops around here.

 

well its out of a 94 and my jeeps a 94 could i use any of it for spares?

Also my has an 8.25

 

It has an oddball 6 lug pattern that was only used on those so no go for spares. Also it's 27 spline.

 

well im pretty sure mine came stock with its 8.25 so its 27 spline too, but theres not any parts i use off it? im at least grabing the diff cover, its free lol.

 

i'm almost 99% sure the carrier will work and if the dakota is 4x4 then it should have limited slip locking diff. you could check with ringpinion.com to be sure ... then it's a cheap upgrade vs locker for more cash
