6.5" and 35's no re-gear?

I rebuild transmissions. And as long as you realize what you are working with you will never have a tranny problem. 35's or not.
In low range it's a monster. Not lying. But i don't have rock gardens Close. Just hills and muddy creeks, woods wheeling, and a few rocks scattered about.

i know a lot of people that refuse to re gear and run 35s+ tires you can get away with it without a doubt just leave it in 3rd gear hang out in the slow lane... and not all shops will rape you in labor just gotta find the small shops that won't rape you in labor.

not on 35's you can't. I guess "enjoy" is subjective. I can't stand an absolutely gutless jeep on the street. and you're right about the rocks. that first ledge you come up on that's taller than your front tires is gonna be a bear and a half on your transmission. you'll want to regear immediately

Honestly in my experience so far with undercut creek banks it's pretty effortless getting the front end up. Tranny is not straining at all an very little gas applied. Again being geared would be optimal. But nothing that will keep me off the trail.

So I kinda have a different opinion on this. my jeep is a manual sittiing on 35s alluminum wheels and 3.50 gear ratio. I can spin my tires into third gear, and have no issues driving 65mph in fifth gear granted I have performance mods. now my brothers jeep is a automatic on 33 steel wheels and stock 3.55 gears his jeep is a complete dog driving around if he didnt have the 2nd gear lock his jeep would be almost useless for power.
two different jeep two different out comes I plan on going to 5.13 when I can afford to have them put in. basically it can be done but its far away from ideal plust the added stresses it puts on the jeep isnt good for it.

So yea I could post a video as I have done before. Then some jack wagon" for lack of a better term" will say the motor sounds like it's straining. Or they would want to see a video of the gas pedal .
So i will pass. LOL. Some times you just have to be there to really know for certain. You can't take everything you hear on the net for granted. And as the post above explains. No two jeeps are a like.

no 2 jeeps are alike but they all have the same basic principles and adhere to physics. I don't need advise or a video. I know how sucky 35's with no gears is because I've driven it before. might be fine for going up a hill in 4lo but anywhere else in the world it's the absolute worst
subjectively the worst, that is

The rest is just arguing over spilt milk.
