The part that is lame with the 5 speed is they came with 3.07 gears. But that is what 4 lo is for

yeah thas what sucks for me, but thats why im going to regear to 4.56

Cool thing about getting a manual XJ is that you can find the axles out of autos all day long and swapping them out is like putting low gears in.

YESSSS!!!!!!! stick shift all day, every automatic i have owned has gone on me, i know i have a heavy foot but the autos just havent worked for me. I get bored of driving auto and rather be in control of the vehicle. Thats my opinion.

Eventually I'm going to do a 4.5" long arm. Don't know if want to do it on this xj or buy another one. Not sure yet.

Yeah man I feel u. U can stop fasted and more efficiently and take off quicker IMO.

My Jeep is an automatic, and it works for now. Maybe later on down the road i'll swap a 5-speed manual...who knows. On my DD though, it has to be a manual. They're just more fun!

If you leave the stock control-arm mounts everything can be swapped. However, you'll have to cut those off if you with with long-arms becuase the arms will hit the mounts. Just figured i'd give a heads up.
