So im new to the 4x4 world and was wondering it snowed here today and i drove home doing about 35 to 40 heard alot of wining and started to think wonder how fast i should be going

do you have the full time option? if so, you can just leave it in that option all winter if you want.
as for 4hi part time, you can go 80kph no problem, i've even gone over 100 (didn't know it was in 4wd).
i always shift into neutral in my auto, or just push the clutch in to shift into 4wd. you can do this on the fly.
a slight whine is normal tho while in 4wd. most noticeable in 4lo, but you should have your t-case fluid level checked.

Thanks every body its a part time but i did a cad bypass does that change anything i shift in and out no prob on the fly just didnt lnow how fast i can go i didnt get the manuAl when i bought the jeep about 2 weeks ago so i jus didnt know

It's not speed that is the issue when driving in 4HI PT but the traction. You're not meant to drive in 4 Part Time on dry pavement because it puts strain on the transfer case and you also get that uncomfortable "skipping" from the front when you corner.
For dry roads you really need Full Time.
