Once you gather up all the needed parts its pretty much a straight forward parts swap.

Youll need a front axle that matches the gear ratio of your rear axle,4wd tranny with Tcase, both driveshafts, Tcase linkage, Tcase shifter and the center console with a Tcase shifter cutout along with various small parts.

Im planning on doing this to my 2wd 4cyl MJ along with swapping in a 4.0/AX-15. Im just going to buy a 4wd XJ to strip for parts. It will be much easier with a complete donor vehicle.

yeah i want to buy a donor vehicle i see alot of good deals for them... but i also might upgrade the gears so i may have to buy 2 whole new preferably already re-geared axles. whatevers cheaper i guess

As long as the gear ratios match on the axles your good to go as long as they are either stock XJ axles or you are willing to do the fab work to make them fit.
