has anyone swaped out there 4.0 for 4.7? if so, is it worth it and what do u think? my 4.0 is on its last leg and im just exploring different avenues..

 

If you want to go with a v-8 go with the 5.2 or 5.9.Parts are cheaper and much more simple to work on. Plus on the comanche .com site a guy did the swap into his mj good write up for referance.good luck

 

i don't wanna do a 8cyl.. 4.7 is still a 6.. it's basically just more hp, I wanted to see if there is a big difference..

You didnt say stroker at all ,and a 4.7liter is a dodge v8 try and be a bit more up front on what you want.So you can figure it out say a 4.7 stroker and not a 4.7.Better to explain what you need its not hard.

Cherokee's will fold like a taco if you even think about putting a V8 in it.
Cherokee's will explode and kill a metric butt-load of nuns and orphans if you put a v8 in 'em.
Strokers can make as much power for less money than the cost of a v8 swap.
