35's on my XJ?
Hey guys, looking at picking up some new tires here soon and I've been searching around for some 33x12.5xR15 which are currently on my XJ. I came across a good deal for some 35x12.5xR15's and I'm wondering if it's smart for what I've got.
This is with the current 33's
My biggest concern is obviously clearance issues. I don't want to drop the cash for 35's if I'm going to hit every time I try to pass a decent obstacle. I've hit one time with my 33's after a good drop off and it just popped the bottom area of the quarter panel in the rear which is no big deal or surprise.

as for clearance, You can trim more a little in the rear. For the hitting on every obstacle, bigger bumpstops. Stock gearing may be an issue with 35's. and If you have a dana 35 rear, Most guys will say you don't want to run 35s with that rear end. Especially if you are locked.

As far as clearence from what I can see you have more then enough room. Your rear isnt even folded. YOu could fold it for an extra inch or so in half hour time and it will look cleaner then now. Front has more clearence then I have now.
