Ha, you remind me of me 3 years ago when I got my first Jeep, except I was 29. The 4.5x series comes with everything, except drop Pitman arm. Beware if you get the full leaf pack. You have a D30 in the front. Your 8.25 in the rear is great to handle the 33"tires. Build that, unless you come across a D44 cheap. Then it would be a good upgrade.

You can, but not recommended. Cheap way out is a hack n tap from IRO. And install a front shaft in the rear.

All this stuff is complicated as hell!! So if the 8.25 in the rear is good then why change it? I might be able to find a Dana 44 in a junk yard cause where I live it's every single 4x4 vehicle is lifted.

Because there is always something better! ;-) at the time I found a 44, that's what I went with. On here, it's seems they're hard finds compared to 8.25. 44's came on some early Cherokees, so few out there. A lot of guys swear by 8.25. Research, research, make some time and research some more! I regret not researching when I first started. Now I'm kinda starting all over, but doing it right with quality parts.

Check craigslist. Down here in So Cali there's a shaft for sale at least once a month. Got mine in great condition for $25. Hack n tap from IRO is $99.
