31 inch tyres on stock suspension?
But how about a 12" or wider tire? How about 40s?
WJ arms and a sawzall won't clear any tire on stock height as suggested. Just sayin.

A 10.5" wide tire shouldnt rub if u switch to wj lca's. U have to grind them a little to fit tho. anything wider will still rub, without proper back spacing, or wheel spacers

a 2inch bb with a good amount of trimming and 33s has been done before.

they also claim to fit 31's with stock suspension using those flares.
the only down side to this is that the trimming is so excessive that you have to relocate a few minor things under the hood.
however do wj arms work on stock xj? if so you could easily fit those 31s you got with some trimming(fender flares as well if u dont like the look of trimmed fenders with no flare) and the wj arms that bend in to prevent rubbing
