Wheels + tires, 3" RC lift kit and you're around 2g

Looks like you can call it a day.

I'm in the exact same spot with the same limit!

I've decided on Rusty's 4.5 inch lift and 32's on soft 8's for my lift/tire/wheel setup. The rest on some recovery points and a rack, maybe a few lights if I can squeeze them in... Would love to squeeze in a 8.25 29S in with it to replace my D35 but it's going to be real tight unless I can pass a little under the radar....shhhhh

BTW, love Fallout. Played through part 3 a few weeks ago and plan to pick up New Vegas on my next trip to walmart...

What are your recovery points made out of? Cardboard from walmart or? I dont see how you could possibly get 4.5 inch lift, 32s, soft 8s AND recovery points all for under 2 grand.

Unless all of it or some of it "fell off a truck"

669 - Rustys 4.5 www.rustysoffroad.com
135 - shipping
815 - 5x BFG MT KM2 www.tirerack.com
136 - shipping
341 - Soft 8s www.jegs.com
0$ - shipping

2096 - Total.

Wheres the recovery points or the lights fitting in there? lol

Rusty's 4.5 in lift kit and A/A SYE & Tom Wood CV Driveshaft.
add another $180.00 for shipping.
Total so far, = $1330.00
Click link below.
http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchan...ustys&TKShip=1
Find some used soft 8's or D-window wheels with tires for around $400.00 - $500.00
New total = $1830.00
Sounds good to me.

I'll have about $850 in 4 tires and rims...The other will be a used tire mounted on a stock wheel for a spare.... My neighbor manages a local tire chain and will hook me up at very close to cost and recovery points aren't that big of a deal with a welder and some skill...not mine lol. My father-in-law's a very talented welder/metal worker and works for free or close enough to it.

Makes sense, usually I build my own bumpers, when I'm too lazy I usually just pick one up from Staangs fab.

tires and rims are hella expensive up here. As for the lift kit, rustys only ships UPS which for Canadians means bend over for a 300$ delivery or go elsewhere. hence why I buy local 99% of the time.

if you wanna do it once and do it right, don't do spacers.
it's not just about hardcore offroading. it's about the quality of the ride on and off road.
i have the RC 3" with 1.5" spacers in the front and it's nowhere as good of a ride as my buddy's RC 4.5" long arm.
mine has more body roll at 45+mph.
if i had to do it over, i'd definitely go with 4.5" long arm.
and DEFINITELY do not cheap out on your recovery gear.

The shipping is usually only like 20-30$ more, its when they show up at your door with the debit machine asking for another 20% more(of the products, not the shipping) for "Duties and taxes" even though tax is just 8%. I wouldnt care if it was 10%.. 2% to line their pockets with but 20%!?!?! Thats pissing on us and not even calling it rain.

It seems that you have a hard time making up your mind. Some have given you ideas already. But that must not be what you want to hear? Now you want more thoughts on the subject ? I have an idea for you. It goes like this. Don't listen to anyone on here, though they clearly have more knowledge on the subject than you. Buy whichever lift kit you want. Spend your money and then realize you want to do your lift a different way. Spend more money on the next lift kit and listen to your wife complain about how much it cost, again. If you are worrying about what wheels to get ? They are already on your Jeep. Unless you are one of those guys who worry about getting a scratch on the chrome. If you can only spend 2k on your Heep. Then maybe you should just get an old Honda Civic, have a garage install a K&N drop in filter along with a rattle can exhaust tip so you can sound real cool. How's that sound ?
