Only thing i can think of is doing a under the axle conversion. Move the perches under. I dont know if u were planning on a 2 wheel drive but i seen a 2wd 2 door and our local track bandimier out here running a boosted 4.0. It sat pretty low. It was on 17" cobra wheels i think.. and ran 12.2 in the quarter.. bad *** not exactly the vehical i would choose for a drag car but was cool.. to each their own..

There's a 2JZ swap XJ on YouTube with the AW4.

Im guessing his idea is because

(1) you expect to see a 2JZ in a Supra.

(2) Not everyday you see 2JZ in a cherokee. I know its been down before but not often.

(3) It would be a sweet sleeper. And a great conversation starter when you smoke some ricer off the line.

To the OP I would probably do what 94 Puprle ZJ said and do a Spring Under the axel set up like a MJ has. And then maybe do some lowering blocks.

But wouldn't a 2JZ make it a ricer?

No, bad wings, body kits and fart can mufflers make it a ricer.

Convert is to coilover suspension front and rear. Set the height where you want.

How low do you want to go? This will determine how to go about lowering it.
Also what is your plan to lower the front and how low are you going?

I too have thought about this, except with the stock 4.0ltr.
