2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport But it does not say Sport on the side. Why not?
2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport Bought a government used XJ 4x4. But it does not say Sport on the side. Why not? Curious?
I see Classic on the sides of other jeeps. Is it on limited too?

All government, fleet, and police edition XJ's didn't come with body trim or trim level decals on them. I have a police package XJ, and it's just the way they came from the factory.

Yup..I've owned a 00 sport and an 00 classic. The normal consumer release ones will actually have a sport badge on the door. 97-99 sports had an ugly decal on the fender

Good question and good answers. My own XJ Sport was a police purch first time around and does not say Sport -- I wondered why but never lost any sleep about it. Seasons greetings to everyone.

Most police vehicles are relatively de-badged from the factory.
Police have regulations regarding the markings of vehicles and the space where certain factory markings go needs to be used for police markings.

There aren't that many differences in the first place lol. Any XJ could be ordered with almost any option... Not sure why a badge is needed to denote "this MIGHT have a manual transmission" or "this COULD have leather seats" or "the rims you see are supposed to be on here"
