Leave it alone or just not the rattle can part? lol. Ive just never been a fan of the lower color split like that. I wish I could take the black off, but don't want to repaint the whole thing just yet. I want to go a dark green or fde on the whole thing anyway.

dont take the black up. I dont think it would look good. Stay as is until you want to do a new paint job imoOriginally Posted by jshultz78

Anyone totally paint their rig a completely different color without doing the inside of the doors and hatch?
Gonna repaint my XJ but don't want to have to repaint the door jams and such so I feel like I need to stick to the stock color, which I don't want to do. Too many great colors out there to stay bland blue!
If so how does it look?

It will look like you think it would. One color on the outside, blue jambs on the inside. Considering all the prep required to do the outside correctly, it's really not a whole heck of a lot of work to do the jambs. The hinges can be tough, but you could stop there as blue hinges would be much less noticeable than blue jambs. I didn't fully paint inside, and I wish I had, but because I did dark blue Monstaliner on a previously dark blue XJ, it doesn't really catch the eye in any offensive way.Originally Posted by MotoBoss

Yeah that's what I thought it would be like. I think I'm going back stock blue, without the metallic flake. I wanted to change color but can't decide on exactly what color it would be, plus the additional work on the inside stuff.
Thanks

Any thoughts on a black xj with tan bedliner around the fenders and rocker? would it look weird or genius? I am either going to do that or black bedliner in the near future.
