Do you have kids? or carry people often? if so a 4 door is more appropriate
However i drive a 2 door, they are harder to find now a days... specially in good condition.
Here is what i have found to LOVE about my 2 door:
Bigger doors mean getting into the front seat really nice and comfortable:
with the rear wheel wells you dont have to worry about the door...
2 doors means 1/2 the hassle if you want to go doorless
and they just look amazing! and you get rear cup holders!!!
You get a bigger window to hang out of when off road to observe obsticals
Plus with the rear seat down it can be a totally enclosed area if you haul anything.
The only thing i have found not so good is if you carry passengers often and its lifted, getting your foot up over the seat to get a good foot hold to climb can be hard. (specially for girls in dresses and skirts or tight jeans) And getting out you have to remind everyone not to hang on the door so you dont break the hinges ...
Other than that they are exactly the same in every as far as drive line, interior panels (dash, consul, carpet head liner only), rear cargo area, and every exterior body panel but side glass, doors.

i like 4 doors because of ease of access for the back seat. i have four door on all my cars from the bmw to the liberty (only come that way) to the cherokee. if a 4 door model is available, i get that version. you can always keep them closed but if you ever need to easily access the back, open it up. on a 2 door, its a pain to get to the back seat in anything, cars, trucks, suvs, all of em.
i carry golf clubs, kids, friends, all kinds of stuff

right click on the picture of it, copy the image code (or open the picture in a new tab/window and copy the URL) and add it as an attachment

One other issue is that if you want to run 35s or bigger, you can cut more out of the rear fender well with a 2 door
