Default 2" aal (short aal)

im probably just going to do a 2" lift for now until i decide what im going to do with my jeep. i measured my jeeps height from the center of rim to the bottom fender flare and i have F-18", R-17", so i know that i have some sag but not much. im looking at a coil spacer and a short aal at the moment. who has used the short aal and how well did it work.

18' frnt and 17" rear is not sag. its actually stock.
Imo... its a waste to pull apart the packs just to put 2" on it. if 2 is all you want for now then buy full packs from quadratec. all that work for stock leafs is not worth it.
or save for what u want. It took me about 3 mos to get everything for my 3". I bought a kit, then added to it. I have 4.5", but i am only installing 3"
Now all i need is tires.
Something to concider.

i know the 2" full aal you have to take apart the leaf springs. i was under the understanding that the 2" short all just bolted to the bottom of the current packs and just added just a little more arc

I've heard the short aal rides rough.

I got a new stock leaf pack on craiglist for cheap and am going to use that and my old main leaf to get a couple of inches. Using a Grand Cherokee V8 coil and extra coil spacer for the front. Plus a Grand sway bar and tj sway bar links. This is mostly to stiffen up the current slightly sloppy setup.

I say go for it and let us know how it works. You will not have much money or time into it. I'm probably putting to much labor in mine, but I already have collected the parts.
