Default 2.5 inch front pipe

Well I've been searching and searching for an aftermarket front pipe and can't find anything other than OE replacement front pipes except for the borla system which is a header and front pipe combo. It's also VERY expensive. I was thinking about making some front pipes out of 2.5 inch pipe and selling them and was wondering if there would be a market for them. The only thing is the bender I have access to does not mandrel bend but its better than the crinkle bends that the OE replacement pipes have. My other question is that is there a reason why no one makes this pipe in 2.5 inch? Clearance issues maybee? any and all feedback would be appreciated.

And a walker OE replacement front pipe is 2 inch. I'm running a 2.5 inch system from the square flange by the crossmember all the way back that's why I was thinking about making a 2.5 inch one but I could do a 2.25 one also.

Just letting you know that it would be pointless if both ends are 2.25 and the middle is 2.5. You'd want to do 2.25 to 2.5 probably but then everyone who bought it would have to get a 2.5 cat. Maybe if you just left it open for size to order?

there would be no 2.25 left if it were done correctly. you would source a 2.5" flange and go from there.

I too have thought about this. It's only like 3 bends. I think its a 45 and two 90's.

If it is custom made to order probably $100-150. I can guarantee you that most people.will pay $40 for the walker one instead though.

I say $100 w/o shipping is a fair price and ill spend $100 on a mandrel bent S pipe before I spend $40 on a prebent straw

Last I heard there wasn't an aftermaket company that sold these because there were too many factors/variations between years of XJs

Don't know how true that is or where I remember seeing it but I swear I did...

Also think about the bung that's in the downpipe for the upstream o2 sensor
