I am new to the forum and hope to find insights from the collective knowledge you all share. I'm looking at the Cherokee to replace my 80's Landcuiser and am intriqued by the 1985-87 diesel option.

Does anyone here know much about the 2.1 L diesel regarding reliability, how compatible it is with other like year cherokees? Also, are the Renault engines fairly simple for diesel shops to work on? Is there a online resource for these outside of the Cherokeeforum?
