You don't want to get that thing stuck with no recovery points. If you attach a strap to either of those bumpers, they are
1. history
2. airborne.

Yeah man, I feel you. I too went mudding before I got my recovery points (hitch and hooks) more than once. Hell I was so excited after I got my lift and tires, I drove it straight to a construction sight and right through the ruts. It's all fun until you get stuck and the only way to get you out is to have another vehicle push you... You don't need to go crazy with recovery as long as your not swamping the jeep or anything. Just pick up a trailer hitch from the junk yard or CL, you'll be set!

That's great for the rear "IF" he has the receiver setup to take a modified D-Ring setup for it. But what if he is in too far and has to be winched from the front. There you need aftermarket bumper with at least D-Ring Tabs, hooks & chains don't cut it anymore thank GOD! Been there done that and have scars to prove it, also one from a cable when a ****** block exploded with me standing beside it. .

Yea I just had to go and see what she's capable of haha. I just ordered the old man EMU hd ultimate hybrid 3.5 lift from dpg off-road. Once it comes in I'll be doing 31's unless I get the bushwacker flat flares which would give me room for 32's possibly 33's. Have the APN exhaust manifold in my room, waiting for brown dog engine mounts to come in so I can do both at same time.

We've all done it, **** I still dont have any recovery points(Building Bumpers at the moment) and still crawl, Im not the biggest fan of mud. I have yet to have to get pulled out, even fully sunk to the doors, on my old/bald stock tires, just a lot of skinny pedal and turning the wheel back and forth.

My buddy has that kit and is runnig 33 trimmed, he had some BW flat flares but said they didnt allow for enough cutting to run the 33s.

This is after a 30 minutes drive home in light rain.
This is before trimmed fenders, new wheel, tires, and I think before I removed my muffler

I want the flares just because I don't like the way the XJs look without them. If 32's is what fits, then that's what I'll get.

Eh, my buddy pops his flares off at 5.5 and 33s. I say stay away from 32s not very common, and when you blow out is a small town you dont want to be shelling out 300 for a new 32

Never thought of it like that. So then it's 31s or 33s and the 31s are winning at the moment.

31s are great at 3.5 for me. And a D ring for ye hitch can no found for $30. I mean you can do bumpers and a winch if you think you'll need them.
