1st Jeep!
I just purchased a 1995 XJ. Its my first ever jeep. I put a 5.5inch Rough Country lift, did a little fender trimming, and put a roof rack and lights on it. Now comes the big question...
What tires do I go with? It is my daily driver and its also my weekend toy! I was thinking something along the lines of an All Terrain tire. It makes the most since for highway use. Then again I would like something that can handle the trail/rocks/mud. Whatever I seem to find on the trails. Ive done some research and what not, but I would just like to hear other peoples opinions on the subject!!!

Welcome to the forum! In my personal opinion I would check out BFG All-Terrains or Maxxis Bighorns. The BFG's are good all around and have a long life. The Maxxis will still last but isnt as good on road but is good in mud and rocks. Like I said This is just my opinion. Hope it helps!

Thanks, I actually have an old F150 thats lifted up with a set of 35" BFG All Terrains. I like the tires. I just want something a little more aggressive but road friendly! Thanks for your input!

Thanks guys! I have been doing a lot of research and your input is more than welcome and I def take a look at all of the links that are posted. I have in mind a set of KM2's. I heard that they have great road quality and arent screming loud. I heard they handle rock and mud quite well also. (a friend has him on his bronco, set of 35's)
Im still lookin though! Thanks guys!

If you want the full on aggressiveness of a mud tire with the wear life of an all terrain and the quiet comfort on the highway of a street tire, check out the Kumho KL71's

I was looking at the Kumho road venture AT KL78's but I might have just changed my mind. All depends on money.

didn't care much for the A/T's, but I've driven on these M/T's for about 5000 miles now and they still look new. They're quite, they ride comfortably, they never slip in rain unless you're meaning to, and they have really impressed me off road.

Those Kumho's are pretty mean looking and not too expensive. They look like a good tire. (ahh if only we could test them out before we make a final decision) haha
