If you want a comfortable and quiet ride, get the Grand Cherokee. But I would hang on to what you have, it looks very nice. Grands are more of a challenge to find aftermarket support for, but it can be done.

How many people do you see Rollin' around in 2 doors? How about GC's? Every time a 4-door xj, or GC pass you on the street, they are drooling with envy. But it's your choice, just sayin. =P

I would definitely NOT get a GC, lots of transmission problems to be had. I see plenty on CL around me with bad transmissions. As well as quite a few threads on CF about GC trans problems.
If you feel like you need more power go get some axles from a 4.0 auto XJ. You'd get 3.55s vs. 3.07s (I think).
2dr/5spd/4.0 if its a 4x4 you hit the jackpot lol.

Zj's are typically beat on more than xjs because most people with xjs have it for a reason, even if its to beat in. People don't care for zjs as much, there just another old car, but xjs are real jeeps
