Default 1997 Sport

I'm new to the forum here so...Hello. I have a 1997 Sport. Is this the odd ball year for Cherokee? I have noticed that a lot of after market parts are available up to 96 and after 98. Why is that? Kinda want to build it up but might trade for a different year. What's your thoughts?

not alot really changed on them,I think 97 is when air bags were added so the intereor changed a little, the body lines became more rounded
