Im buying an xj I want a 1996 but should I get stick shift or automatic

Of you are good with a clutch I'd recommend the manual. I have a 96 with the ax15 and love it.

Yeah driving a stick is not a problem when you put it in 4low do you need to use the clutch I know on the Jk you don't need it

Idk ive owned both and i would go with the auto but thats just me.

unless im driving something fast i dont really want stick

I got an auto XJ and geared and locked it. absolutely wish I bought a stick shift

I perfer manual for racing and everyday driving. But my geared and locked XJ is auto and I sure as hell wouldnt have it any other way. I use my XJ on rocks.
