Try this place. It's in the greater Phoenix area, but they do ship. Got the rear hatch latch mechanism from them for $20. They also had new fill and vent hoses for the fuel tank on the shelf, also $20.

The warehouse is stacked to the rafters with stuff, and they have a few dozen XJs out back.

Hey everyone just wanted to give you an update!

I went to a LKQ in monrovia and got everything I have to personally find for 111 dollars. iJeeep is going to provide me with everything else. iJeeep also made me buy a cargo carrier for you Ralph which I didn't realize you were looking for I feel special now, never thought I’d say I would be finding you parts lol. Always thought it would be the other way around. Me and iJeeep will be figuring out shipping in da DM’s shortly I believe.

Thank you all for your help

I wanted to note something that I have said this entire time on this thread. First off happy easter. Secondly God is good, 2 doors in my area get gutted in a matter of hours so the fact that I found one posted at LKQ that had only been up for 24 hours (they posted it available for picking on 4/1/21 and I took everything I needed 4/2/21) is a miracle from God himself. My Jeep will be up and running soon and I have very big news to share with all my Jeep family on here in a separate general chat thread.

Good for you.
I am surprised that you did find everything.
I don't think I have ever seen a 2 door in any of the boneyards I go to.

I am also going to send you a PM.

I've seen 2 doors driving, I've seen 2 doors on craigslist. I've owned a 2 door but I've only seen one in a wrecking yards here ever.

Gad to hear the Big Guy in the sky smiled on you 👍

Happy Easter

there are one or two two doors in the pull a part here, and a number of two doors driving around town. they are fairly popular here.

if you still need anything, i can go look on the weekend to see what is left. usually just the engine, trans, and seats disappear. windows seem to go to the crusher with the bodys

A friend of mine brought his "not a Jeep" over with a bunch of metal so we could weld up a roof rack that would accept his cargo and tent unit. While doing so I dripped a little spatter onto the driver side window. For some reason it didn't fall off the vertical surface. It stuck to the glass. After a couple seconds the glass shattered all over. Then we put soaked towels over the glass and I was more careful not to spatter. And then we went to the salvage so I could buy him a new window and put it in for him.

It was still a good day, but refer to the Five Rules. "Fire will burn you". Also, sub rule, napalm sticks to... no, "molten metal will shatter glass".

Sparks from grinding and welding will embed into the glass and cause rust streaks/stains.

I'll keep an eye on the pile of 1/8 inch cubes of glass to see if they get rust streaks.
