My dash lights will not work. I have tried all I can think of, including: Head lamp switch, checked fuses. Any ideas would be appreciated. My headlights do work as does the interior light.

When you pull the headlamp switch out all the way, do the headlights AND the parking lights come on? Or only the two front headlights?

1994 dash lights
Hi there,
When I pull my headlight switch all the way out, both headlights and park lights come on. The lights which don't work, because theu are connected, are the dash lights and the shifter light.
Any ideas, I have tried a number of things to no avail? I probably can't do anything today as we are having a last winter snow storm!
Thanks,
Hills

I had a similar problem, the running lights, fog lights, and dash lights wouldn't come on. I replaced EVERYTHING. Fuses, the switch, the instrument cluster and nothing worked. First thing I would do if I were u is pull out the instrument cluster and clean off the contacts in the back. Then make sure it's pushed in all the way again.
If that doesn't work u need to look at the wires in the top of the switch. As you pull out the switch there may be a "sweet spot" where the dash lights go on at a very specific spot. This spot may be just before the first click from the switch that turns on the parking lights. Make sure you pull it out very slowly to make sure you don't miss it if the lights turn on.
