1987 jeep cherokee
I have a 87 jeep Cherokee. At one time it had a snokel kit on it well now that has been taken off and replaced with a homemade cold air intake. Basically just a k&n filter shoved I'n the black pipe that sucks I'n the air. Any way my problem is the breather on the top of the valve cover I have just the stock pipe there not connected to anything any way sometimes it shoots out puffs of white smoke and had even pushed a quart of oil out of it do you know what could be causing this if you can help thanks alot

Its your breather tube, and its suppose to let out those gases. Get a small filter to cap the end of the tube. Most knowledgeable parts store workers should know what you need.
