I had a need for a wheel chair carrier a while back when I cared for my 98 year old dad. I drive a Dodge Ram PU and gave thought to a tow hitch carrier. So I fabricated this carrier that just attaches to my tow hitch receiver. It has a stop light on it also. Easy on Easy off. I made a mickey mouse lock mechanism so the carrier nor the chair could be stolen.

It worked pretty good. I just could not use the tail gate with the chair on the carrier. But that was not a problem as the chair was easy to take off.
