what do you think, upgraded steering

sounds beefy as hell. A couple things to note are that an inverted T setup would be a better option and you'll have to ream the knuckles to reverse the taper, not a big deal if you're gonna fab a steering set-up though.
FYI, this thread belongs more in chat than in fab

Probably. I feel like we need another section of the forum, so Fab can be solely for true fab, have tech be for stuff like this, and then have a section just for posting about issues people are having. Like Tech, Support, and Fab.
I may consider doing a set-up like this. designing steering stuff really isn't that complicated.

i agree, but when designing steering systems it takes enough thought to realize its steering and shouldn't be thrown together, cause driving and wheelin can put a lot of external forces lat. and long. of the jeep

looks good but are you going to be able to clear not only the sway bar mounts but the spring perches too? i know i dont run sway bars so no big deal taking them off but i dont think you will clear the spring perches. start the build and post it in here that way its fab and the mods dont get bent. i agree we do need a sub forum for fab chat for stuff like this. come on mods make it happen.

anyways, i personally wouldnt run heims for steering. they dont wear out, they just break. and why that design? why not just do full crossover?

i did something similar to my steering and left the axle tracbar mount. the angles were off, but it was still driveable. it just had some bumpsteer. when i switched the mount to the top of the axle, it made a big difference on how it steered. even just the body roll of when you are parked and steering was cut down dramatically.
