I'm thinking I'll just go crossover for the flattest angled drag link possible. then when I ditch these stinkin coil springs I'll be able to build a nice long flat panhard to match the drag link

the ram will be exposed below the tie rod then. ain't nobody got time to build a skid

I was just doing my steering links last night. I usually have to do it in 4 welds to get all the way around. 3 if I'm lucky. I don't think mine came out quite as shiny as yours

I have messed up one tube insert by burning it together too hot and then the joint wouldn't thread in. Any tips to avoid that? Normally I just do 1/3 then let it cool and move to another piece of tube. I hear those ruffstuff hex inserts are better though.

no tips. I only use ruffstuff (because they are conveniently located near me) and I've never had a problem with welding them in too hot or having a joint not thread back in. I weld it all at once without letting it cool
