I drive all over Texas for my job, and I see unpainted welding beds like this all over the state. There was even one for sale (just the bed) on Craigslist a while back. The guys I bought my Gladiator from also had one in their shop they were doing some work on. The welder who owned it had built the bed himself and left it raw. The lack of paint did make it really easy to see his beautiful welds, though.

It seems like bare metal is the style now.

Those terms are actually interchangeable...

"Simple Definition of welder
: a person whose job is to weld materials together

Full Definition of welder
: one that welds: as
a or weldor : a person whose work is welding
b : a machine used in welding"

Cuts like hot butter. It was between this and the Miller 625. those hypertherms are about the best plasma cutters on the market.
i have the 30 and it cuts everything i will ever need to use on the jeep and then some. i use it all the time.

just gotta make sure there is a good quality water trap in line on the air in.

Funny you should mention that...as the day after we got it, the shop compressor died, LOL

So we are looking at either to repair or replace it, but I told my boss there's been a lot of water in the lines lately, and now is the time to put some new water traps in....

Carpet welding, lol. Using an 80 watt self feeding flux-free glue gun, and plasma blade razor knife.

That's pretty cool Steve! I like the clever welding vernacular thrown in there

Thank You fellas. I install carpet for a living, keeping scraps and remnants for art and stuff. The art evolved with experimentation and contemplation.
