URGENT:Front Side Rear Leaf Spring Perch
I have a serious problem...I "was" in the process of changing out rear springs to give me a bit more lift in the rear until I ran into a major hickup. The bolts that thread into the stationary nut are no longer usable. The stationary nuts on the frame-side are no longer stationary because the factory welds broke. I was able to get the bolts out but the holes are now a bit wollered out as well from it being able to move a bit.
Does anybody have a good idea on how i could fix this problem. I am a good welder and have access to just about anything I need. So any thoughts or ideas would be great seeing how i was trying to have this thing done and ready for the Moab Jeep Safari. Thanks

when i broke mine off the frame i had to cut a hole in the unibody on the opposite side to get the nut out. and i added a big heavy washer when i put them back in just to be safe. a big piece of plate or super thick washer should do it

When you say you cut a hole in the opposite side what do you mean? There is a bracket in which the nut sits in which is then welded to the frame to where it is all closed off. Are you saying you cut a hole in the Uni-body frame on the inside where the fuel lines are routed or just in the bracket that is welded to the frame?

I ended up having to cut one set of leafs out cuz the bolt was actually stuck in the metal sleeve inside the bushing...oh well...plenty more to work with...thanks for all the help ill be sure to show you my finished product.
