Default Upgraded my fan

I upgraded my AUX cooling fan with a 2001 jeep cherokee one.
It replaced my old 1986 one. I had to cut off the connector on my old one and newer one, after that i had to splice in the old connector to the newer fan and bam! worked like a charm. Let me tell you the new fan really BLOWS!

I also have an 86.
Little off topic but is that the original engine?

The one thing I would do is get rid of those wire nut and maybe put some butt connectors instead and wrap the with elect tape or even better some shrink tube. The wire nut are made for solid wires such as used in homes.
BTW, Good installation other wise.

Thanks for the comments. I am going to change out the wire nut. I just use them as a quick install.

My plans were to solder the wires together and then heat shrink them, but the butt connector and tape sounds a lot easier to do.

I would have fabricated a dual speed electric fan by removing it from a taurus.
