Made these up the other day. I used 1.75 x .120" tube (this is the size tube I always use on the sliders I build). I was planning on welding them on, but then decided to bolt them on. Each one has 3 mounting points. Haven't had to use them yet, but they will definitely hold up!

 

looks good! but I would run a full pinch seam mount. they way you have it now is that you you have 3 pressure points rather than the force being spread out over an entire area and I can very easily see them being bent up

Thanks. I actually notched the pinch seam where the tube is so it will lay right against it...we'll see.

I'm curious what hardware you used to do the mounting. You didn't have to drill and run a bolt all the way through the frame did you? Or did you use self-tapping screws with a beefy diameter? I ask because I have some AJ's Rock Sliders that I purchased used, and I've no hardware. Trying to figure out the best product/fastener for the purpose. Thanks.

 

I used 5/16" grade 8 bolts for the rear and center mounts, and a 7/16" bolt for the forward mounts (I drilled and tapped the hole). I'm pretty sure mine do not mount like the others out there! So you might need to just hold them up where they go and measure the bolt lengths you need.
