im trussing a 8.25 LSD and relocating the shock mounts


and i shaved the bottom of the housing

You should box the truss in to make it look more beefy

well i was waiting on a d44 but came across this limited slip 8.25 so i said the hell with it because d44 is only a 1/4 inch larger ring gear

mmm, looks scrumptious

i wanna do this to my 8.25....soon as i'm not broke, & then get a welder & then learn to weld....

where u putting the shock mounts? just higher up on the housing?? i've seen them welded to the leaf spring top mounting plate....any benefit to that??

ive never see it done that way but i cant think of any great reason for it

wow an 80!!! that thing is a beast to say the least. 4link,3link combo? thats my plan but a 60 rear maybe a 70 but an 80... rediculas... props to that one man
