you might be right, I was just hoping with as much rocker to frame bracing as I did I would be able to use 1/8th. lighter and cheaper lol

Dude, you're spending this much time and effort...I'd go with the thicker plate, yes it will weigh more, and cost more, but why do it twice? Just sayin'...

Yeah I'll go with 3/16.
I haven't done any more work to the boat sides but I did get a super duty rear axle! 05 10.25 with the 35 spline shafts! best part was it's 100$.

Yeah it comes with brakes. I still have to pick it up. supposedly the pinion is bad or something. housing and shafts are still good and that's all I care about. it's getting 5.13s and a Detroit anyways

I'm gonna have to have these boat sides done soon guys cause I've got a wheeling event in two weeks. I'll try to maybe get some of the tube cut today but I also gotta pick up the 10.25 before I work and after I get out of class. I have a pretty tight schedule right now so I don't get much jeep time

You'll need a 1350 U joint yoke from a 93-97 2wd powerstroke or order one. That was the only big issue with mine since it came with the companion flange for a 1410 joint.

so my buddy has a shop that specializes in working on f250s. this 10.25 is from an 05 f250 that this lady pulled her horses with. turns out she diddnt know she had a diff cover leak on the sterling and she ran the thing dry! appears to me that the inner pinion bearing seized and from heat the pinion shaft actually snapped...
bad for her good for me. I picked up the axle today and got all the brakes and hardware for just 100$. can't wait to find a front and start building these things!

My friend is running the companion flange but he made some rickety *** driveshaft that has a ton of run out to it. There is no point to a 1410 joint with a 4.slow. My friend is also using the huge driveshaft from the F250. I paid for a new yoke, it was only $100 and change from RWKHAUS supply and has Yukons warranty on it. I also bought my gears from him.
