Does anyone know what the Tint on the 97-01 Jeep Cherokees are?

Im looking at eathier 35% or 20%, 5% is way too dark. And if I know the OEM tint on the Jeep Cherokees that would be fine.

I live in PA. http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/PA/

This is a 1999 Jeep Cherokee with its stock tint.

The stock tint on my Jeep is like looking through a dirty window, Clear with very light tint, Id say on the scale it shows, its 50% or none

View bottom images on this page. You can see how clear it is. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f46/19...-49861/index7/

If you know where it might say, I can look on mine, it's a 99 Limited and this is what factory tint looks like on it.

OK, it didn't say tint anywhere, but these are all the numbers:

V dot 18 PPG M537P
AS3 8 26
E2
43 R-005092 8

I'm figuring it's #2 tint?

if you can decifer these numbers maybe it'll tell you something, sorry I hoped I could be more helpful, I even looked in the owners manual and it didn't say.

Stock windows ARE NOT paper tints and are baked into the glass. The stock tint is around 20%. my aftermarket front tint is 20% and are slightly darker. Anything darker than 35% becomes vert difficult to drive at night without any street or exterior lighting. 40 would be great.

Not 20% that is not the legal tint limit. They couldn't sell a vehicle that is not legal to put on the street from factory. 35% is legal limit.

Find a cop buddy and ask him to check it. also look in to some hd tint. Darker on the outside, lighter on the inside. We have it on our accord
