i'm surprised this thread isn't dead yet. honestly with anything short of a truggy/chop top a swing-up carrier just isn't feasible. Not to mention a swing down carrier makes a ton more sense IMO.

play nice, feasible? probably. more work than what its worth? definatley. Its got me wanting to built one that looks decent and works well so i like to see this thread pop up every now and again. if just for ideas and nae sayers.

and id like to see what he comes up with even if it takes 4 yrs

yea even if it is more work than its worth itll be a kool design and very unique if i had the materials and tools i would try this as well

im sure it would but if you've read the entire thread than you will note that there is alot of geometry and angles and stuff you would have to work out, personally i like my idea of an elec farm gate opener mounted to the roll cage or roof rack and then to the tire carrier portion, that way you just hit a button and there ya go its open or closed
