You will not be able to just cover that up with frame stiffeners. With rust like that your whole "frame" is probably toast. You need to completely assess the "frame" rust and decide whether you want to:
A: Part it out and get what you can
B: Cut out all of the rust and replace the metal (possibly most of the frame)
C: Something I'm not thinking about

i dont know how much money you have in it, but i would try to get as much as i could out of it( parts and etc) and get one in better shape.

you would be surprised how much you can make parting it out, then selling the unibody for scrap metal.

well i bought it for 800 cash. engine only has 160,xxx on it which is why i was trying to save it. the floor is rusted to hell and i tore all carpet out and stated cutting. i havent really put any money into it beside buying an angle grinder (which i needed anyways) then i came across that hole. What about finding a blown Cherokee and taking the engine out difficult task?

yea you can find nice jeeps that have a blown motor. people think they are worthless when the motor goes. look on craigslist/ebay etc.

but i wouldnt put any money into that jeep. if you did fixed all that and put a whole bunch of money into it, you would be wishing you started with something better.

imo part it out you can get your money back and some.

that jeep prolly has 20 more problems just as serious as that rust.
